Our Founder

Michele Lacroix, CPA is the President and founder of LACROIX CPAs, INC. Michele graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics Minor. Upon graduation, Michele accepted a tax accountant position at a “Big 4” Public Accounting Firm where she gained invaluable technical experience in working with individuals and small business owners.

Michele increased her knowledge of small businesses and how business owners think and grow their operations while working at a Regional Accounting Firm in Dayton, Ohio. Michele worked with business owners to generate and understand their financial activity before preparing the tax return. This allowed for a deeper understanding of the individual needs of the client and provided a baseline for value-added tax planning.

The realization that individuals and business owners are more than just numbers and tax compliance provided Michele the insight to start her own company. Michele began her company under the premise that people matter and that adding value by exceptional client service is the key to meaningful financial analysis and successful tax compliance and planning.

Michele has over 15 years of experience in public accounting working with individuals and small business owners. Her experience includes general bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, attest services and tax compliance and planning.

Michele values her clients and the personal relationships she develops with each person and business owner. Her philosophy is that great client service starts with listening and understanding the client both personally and professionally.

Michele Lacroix, CPA is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountant’s. She served as an officer for the Dayton Association of Tax Professionals for 5 years, including President for two years.
